The picnic area features a shelter, picnic tables, and grills.\u00a0\u00a0The playground offers a merry-go-round, swings, slide, and teeter-totter along with a modern play structure. There is a short nature trail following the Rice Lake shoreline.\u00a0\u00a0A handicap-accessible fishing pier is located within the park.\u00a0\u00a0Canoes and kayaks can be carried into the lake for launching and a public access boat ramp is located nearby.\u00a0\u00a0Rice Lake is a shallow lake that offers boating, fishing, and an exceptional opportunity to observe nature with its many creatures.<br><br><strong>Park Season<\/strong><br>Opens:\u00a0 May 1st<br>Closes: October 15th<br>Please call the Parks Manager (507-525-0612) with all questions.<br>Park Hosts will greet and direct incoming visitors and assist with registrations.<br>Park Host &#8211; Anne Giese<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Prices for Camping at Faribault County Parks\u00a0<\/strong><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table\"><tbody><tr><td>Nightly Rate (Occupied)*<\/td><td>$20.00 \/ night<\/td><td>&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Non-electric<\/td><td>$15.00 \/ night<\/td><td>&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Shelter Rental<\/td><td>$50.00 \/ night<\/td><td>&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; * &nbsp; 2-week maximum stay.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Veterans and Senior citizens will receive a $2.00\/night discount or $25\/month for seasonal.  All rates shown include sales tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>General Rules for Faribault County Parks<\/strong>\u00a0<br>1. \u00a0Gates will be locked at midnight.<br>2. \u00a0Faribault County does not allow kegs on the premises.<br>3. \u00a0No glass beverage containers are allowed on the beach or playgrounds.\u00a0<br>4. \u00a0Whoever does any of the following shall be subject to immediate removal from the park,\u00a0guilty of a misdemeanor, or both:<br>a.\u00a0 Engage in a violent, immoral, abrasive, loud, or obscene manner or any other conduct that creates or tends to create a breach of the peace,\u00a0disturb, or annoy the recreational enjoyment of the park, land, and waters by other members of the public.<br>b.\u00a0 Use or\u00a0have\u00a0in your possession glass\u00a0bottle beverage containers. \u00a0Also, you will be immediately\u00a0removed from the park if you are found to be intoxicated, in possession of or under the influence of drugs. \u00a0This is a violation of\u00a0Federal\/State law.\u00a0<br>c.\u00a0 Trash removal:\u00a0 Trash bags are to be placed in the centralized dumpsters.\u00a0 There is no trash pick up on site. <br>d.\u00a0\u00a0Operate or park any motor vehicle\u00a0outside of the\u00a0designated roads or parking areas within the boundaries of any county park.<br>e.\u00a0 Operate any vehicle in a reckless manner or at a speed in excess of the posted speed limit.<br>f.\u00a0 Advertise,\u00a0in any manner,\u00a0any private activity or function without the consent of the   Parks Manager.<br>g.\u00a0 Display or\u00a0have in one&#8217;s possession, a firearm or air gun, unless unloaded and cased.<br>h.\u00a0 Hunt or molest wildlife.<br>5. \u00a0Quiet hours are from midnight until 8:00 a.m.<br>6. \u00a0Pets are currently permitted in the campground. \u00a0Pet owners must show proper consideration for other campers and comply with park regulations.\u00a0\u00a0Animals must not be left unattended at the site, vehicle, or camping unit.\u00a0\u00a0A leash, not to exceed 6\u2019, is required when walking a pet.\u00a0\u00a0You are required to clean up animal feces in proper trash receptacles.\u00a0\u00a0Pets are NOT permitted on swimming beaches.<br>7. \u00a0Picnicking is permitted only in designated picnic areas.\u00a0\u00a0No person, or group of persons, shall exclude others from a picnic area.<br>8. \u00a0Camping is permitted only in designated camping area within the prescribed limitations of the particular camping area.<br>9. \u00a0All campers must register.\u00a0\u00a0At least one member of your camping party must be at least 21 years old.<br>10. \u00a0Any person who violates Rules 2-8, inclusive, will be asked to conform to those rules or immediately leave the park.\u00a0\u00a0If the said person refuses to conform to the rules or to immediately leave the park, they shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Located 6 miles south of Well&#8217;s Minnesota.
